Former Ondo State governorship candidate and APC chieftain , Olamide Falana, has commended U.S. President Donald Trump’s acknowledgment of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, describing it as a proud moment that reinforces Nigeria’s growing international respect and influence.
Falana said the public recognition of the First Lady during her recent engagement in the United States reflects the increasing visibility of Nigeria’s leadership on the global stage. According to her, such diplomatic courtesies and commendations contribute positively to Nigeria’s international image and strengthen bilateral ties between Nigeria and the United States.
She noted that Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s longstanding commitment to social advocacy, women empowerment, and community development has earned her both national and international respect.
The former special adviser on gender matters further added that the acknowledgment by President Trump underscores the importance of soft diplomacy and the role of the First Lady in projecting Nigeria’s values and aspirations abroad.
