president tinubu returns to Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a two-week trip to France and the United Kingdom.

This return comes amid public criticism regarding the duration of his absence from the country.

The President left Nigeria on Wednesday, April 2, first traveling to Paris and then moving on to London for the weekend, as reported by the Presidency.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, responded to the public’s concerns about the President’s absence, assuring citizens that Tinubu remained actively involved in national issues while abroad.

“After departing Paris for London over the weekend, the President has been in regular contact with essential government officials, managing important national matters, including issuing directives to security leaders to tackle new threats in certain areas of the country,” Onanuga mentioned.
